Rahul Gandhi, his route to Raebareli, offers prayers at the Hanuman temple



Congress leader Rahul Gandhi prayed at a Hanuman temple in Churwa on his way to his parliamentary constituency of Raebareli, the party announced on Tuesday. During his daylong visit, Gandhi, who serves as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, will meet with party workers, local residents, and the family members of a Kirti Chakra awardee, according to a Congress office-bearer.

After landing at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport in Lucknow, Gandhi traveled to Raebareli by road, which is approximately 80 kilometers from the state capital. On the way, he stopped at the Churwa temple near Bachchrawan to pay his respects to Lord Hanuman.

"Rahul Gandhi worshipped at the Churwa Hanuman temple and prayed to Lord Hanuman for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the country," the Congress party stated on X.

Upon reaching the Bhuemau guest house, Gandhi is scheduled to meet with party workers, delegations, and local residents. Additionally, he will meet the family members of Kirti Chakra awardee Captain Anshuman Singh.

In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Gandhi won the Rae Bareli seat by a margin of over 3.90 lakh votes. Following his victory, he held a meeting with the workers alongside party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
