As Subham, Samantha's debut production, prepares for release, she fights for equitable compensation

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently advocated for equal pay and emphasized the importance of fairness in the film industry during a media interaction in Hyderabad. As her debut production venture Subham gears up for its grand release on May 9, Samantha shared her thoughts on equality in the industry, particularly when it comes to remuneration and opportunities.

Samantha expressed her vision for her production company, Tralala Productions, saying that she believes in equal skill, equal pay, and equal experience. She emphasized that she wanted to ensure fairness in all aspects of production, noting that it was relatively easier for Subham since everyone involved in the project was a newcomer. She further stated, "I know that different kinds of films have different requirements. As much as possible, I want to make sure that there is equal skill, equal pay and equal experience."

Samantha also opened up about her involvement in Subham, revealing that she wasn’t initially supposed to play a cameo role in the film. However, she decided to take on the role herself rather than asking anyone for a favor, as it was her first production. She also mentioned that while she would be promoting the film for the next few days, after that, the film would be in the audience's hands.

Her production house, Tralala Productions, launched alongside her maiden project Subham, directed by Praveen Kandregula (known for Cinema Bandi) and written by Vasanth Maringanti, is a significant milestone for the actor. The film stars Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, and Shriya Kontham in key roles, with Shor Police composing the music and Vivek Sagar providing the background score.

Subham is all set to release on May 9, marking a major step in Samantha's journey as a producer, and it's clear she is committed to creating a work environment built on equality and opportunity for all involved.
