Actor Rhea Chakraborty took to Instagram on Saturday to share an emotional tribute to India’s armed forces, expressing deep admiration and solidarity amid the escalating conflict with Pakistan. Drawing from her personal experience as the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Indrajit Chakraborty, she reflected on the unique emotional weight carried by army families.
In her heartfelt note, Chakraborty recalled how growing up in a military household meant understanding that love often came in the form of distance, and that pride was accompanied by quiet fear. She wrote about watching her mother hide tears and yearning for her father’s return, sentiments that resonated deeply as the nation faces heightened military tension under Operation Sindoor.
She honoured the bravery of those serving on the front lines, stating:
“Today, I sleep safely in my home because someone else's father, mother, brother or sister is out there—standing at the border, standing tall.”
Her message ended with a strong gesture of unity:
“To every Army, Navy, and Airforce family waiting, hoping, praying—I see you. I feel you. I stand with you. From one fauji home to another... sending love, strength, and a salute. Jai Hind.”

These messages come as India continues its counter-offensive under Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 civilians—mostly tourists—dead.
