Here is all the information we currently know regarding the May 13 debut of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung is all set to unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge tomorrow, May 13, 2025, during a virtual Unpacked event. The smartphone has generated a lot of buzz, mainly due to its incredibly thin design and premium features. Here’s what we know so far:

Design and Display

  • The Galaxy S25 Edge will be one of Samsung’s slimmest Galaxy S-series phones to date, measuring just 5.85mm in thickness and weighing around 163 grams, making it one of the lightest premium smartphones available.

  • It will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a sharp resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display will be protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, while the back is expected to use Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The frame will be made of titanium, adding to its premium and durable build.

  • The phone will be available in three color options: Titanium Blue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Black.

Camera

  • Rear Camera: The Galaxy S25 Edge will boast a 200-megapixel primary camera, likely the same sensor used in the S25 Ultra. It will also feature a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

  • Selfie Camera: The front camera will be a 12-megapixel sensor, probably borrowed from the Ultra variant, ensuring high-quality selfies.

Performance

  • The Galaxy S25 Edge will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

  • It will run on One UI 7, based on Android 15, offering a smooth and enhanced user experience.

Battery and Charging

  • Despite its slim profile, the phone is expected to feature a 3,900mAh battery, which will support 25W wired charging and wireless charging via the new Qi2 standard. This allows for faster charging and enhanced convenience, although the battery capacity may be on the lower end for premium phones.

Pricing and Availability

  • The Galaxy S25 Edge will initially be available in select markets, including South Korea and China, with a broader release expected later.

  • In India, the phone is expected to be priced between Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,29,999, slotting it between the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra in terms of pricing.

  • The 256GB variant is expected to be priced at €1,249 (approx. Rs 1,18,600), while the 512GB version may cost around €1,369 (Rs 1,30,000).

Samsung is clearly focusing on creating a premium, lightweight, and feature-packed device with the Galaxy S25 Edge. Keep an eye on the event tomorrow for all official details!
