Superstar Rajinikanth has expressed strong support for India's Operation Sindoor, congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian Armed Forces, and key government officials for their decisive actions in targeting terrorist bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Speaking at the Chennai International Airport on Sunday before departing for the shoot of Jailer 2, Rajinikanth praised the handling of the operation, describing it as skilled, strong, and vigorous.
The actor's remarks come in the wake of India's launch of Operation Sindoor on May 7, which was a response to the Pahalgam attack that claimed the lives of 26 people, including a Nepali national. Rajinikanth had previously shared his solidarity with the country and its armed forces via social media, stating, “The fighter's fight begins...No No stopping until the mission is accomplished! The entire NATION is with you.” His message was accompanied by a hashtag #OperationSindoor and a call to support the mission.
Rajinikanth’s comments reflect a wider sense of unity and pride in India's actions. Following the operation, both India and Pakistan had agreed to a ceasefire on May 13, though Pakistan violated it within hours, prompting another round of tensions. Despite this, the situation eventually de-escalated, and the shelling and firing stopped later that night.
Rajinikanth's support, along with similar messages from other celebrities and political figures, highlights the deep nationalistic sentiment and solidarity with the armed forces during times of conflict.
