Actor and BJP MP Ravi Kishan openly criticized Pakistan for supporting cross-border terrorism in India, reaffirming his confidence in the Indian armed forces to respond decisively if provoked. Speaking to ANI, Kishan emphasized that while India remains a peace-loving nation, it will not shy away from war if Pakistan engages in terrorist activities or provokes India.
His comments come in the wake of India’s recent Operation Sindoor, a precision strike targeting nine terrorist centers in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7, which reportedly eliminated over 100 terrorists. The operation sparked retaliatory actions from Pakistan, including cross-border shelling and drone attacks on Indian military bases, to which India responded with coordinated strikes on 11 Pakistani airbases and destruction of key radar and communication infrastructure.
Kishan’s strong stance contrasts with the silence from many in the Indian film industry, with prominent actors like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan yet to publicly comment on the operation or express support on social media.
On the professional front, Ravi Kishan was last seen in Kiran Rao’s ‘Laapataa Ladies’ and is slated to appear in ‘Dhamaal 4’ alongside Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Sanjay Mishra, with the film scheduled for release during Eid next year.
