Regarding DC's batting slump, Aakash Chopra remarks that KL Rahul has lost his temper

Aakash Chopra has raised concerns about KL Rahul's recent form and the overall inconsistency in Delhi Capitals' batting lineup as they approach the crucial final stages of IPL 2025. Rahul, who started the season strongly, was one of the team's best performers with 381 runs in the first 10 matches. However, his form has dipped in recent games, including a poor showing against KKR (scoring 7), followed by a slow 39-ball 41 against RCB, and a mere 10 runs off 14 balls against SRH in a match that ended in a rain-affected draw.

Chopra expressed frustration with the team's overall batting struggles, noting that key players like Jake Fraser-McGurk, Faf du Plessis, Karun Nair, and Abishek Porel have failed to deliver consistently. He pointed out that Delhi's faith in several of these players, including Rahul, seems to be diminishing at a crucial point in the tournament. Chopra emphasized that Delhi’s batting hasn't clicked as expected and has been one of the major reasons behind their struggles.

Additionally, Chopra criticized the team’s decision not to sign a replacement for Harry Brook, who withdrew from the IPL in March. He mentioned that the window for securing a replacement was closing fast, and without this addition, DC's chances of bouncing back in the latter part of the season are slim.

With just three games left against PBKS, GT, and MI, Chopra suggested that DC has little room for error if they are to make a push for the playoffs, and their failure to address these concerns could end their campaign prematurely.
