Raveena Tandon recently opened up about the long-rumored spat with Karisma Kapoor during the shooting of Andaaz Apna Apna and Aatish, calling it nothing more than “classroom politics.” In a candid conversation with Farah Khan on her YouTube channel, Raveena emphasized that both she and Karisma were young—just 20 or 21 years old—and that any tensions were typical youthful misunderstandings rather than serious conflicts.
She even playfully confronted Farah for having gone public with stories about their supposed fights, saying, “When did we fight? I was just sitting with my dancer friends sharing jokes.” Farah recalled a childhood-like scuffle where the two actresses playfully hit each other with wigs during a song shoot, a moment she described as “childish” and something they’d likely laugh about now.
Aamir Khan also reflected on the time, calling it “tough” because of scheduling challenges—Karisma and Raveena’s comings and goings made filming difficult.
Raveena also cleared up some past misunderstandings from interviews, like when she was replaced by Karisma in Sajan Chale Sasural. She said she believes in healthy competition and denied ever playing cutthroat politics to oust anyone from a project, instead pointing to others who might have worked against her.
Despite the rumors, Raveena and Karisma shared the screen in several films and have since moved past any youthful disagreements. Raveena continues her work, recently appearing in the show Karmma Calling on JioHotstar.
