The CEO of Fiverr claims AI will replace human labor and identifies eight positions that will be abolished


In a candid and thought-provoking message to his team, Fiverr CEO Micha Kaufman has highlighted the significant impact artificial intelligence (AI) will have on the job market, acknowledging that AI will eventually replace many roles—including his own. The blunt warning, which was shared publicly by Neatprompts CEO Aadit Sheth, underscores the growing concern about AI's disruption across various industries.

Kaufman emphasized that AI is not just a challenge for Fiverr but a larger, unavoidable trend affecting a wide range of professions. He specifically mentioned eight roles that he believes are most vulnerable to AI, including programmers, designers, product managers, data scientists, lawyers, customer support personnel, salespeople, and finance professionals. "AI is coming for your jobs. Heck, it’s coming for my job too," Kaufman stated, reflecting his belief that the shift is inevitable.

He explained that AI is transforming what were once seen as "easy tasks" into automated processes, while more complex tasks are being streamlined through AI-driven efficiency. Kaufman warned that professionals who fail to rapidly adapt, reskill, and integrate AI into their workflows could become obsolete in a matter of months.

However, rather than instilling panic, Kaufman urged his team to view this moment as a wake-up call. He encouraged them to actively engage with AI tools that could enhance their work, citing tools like Cursor for coding, Intercom Fin for customer support, and Lexis+ AI for legal tasks. Kaufman also recommended that employees identify in-house AI experts, reconsider their productivity goals, and become proficient in using large language models (LLMs) to optimize daily operations. In a striking statement, he declared that "Google is dead," suggesting that those who aren’t skilled in prompt engineering (the practice of effectively interacting with AI models) would be left behind.

The CEO concluded with a call to action, advising companies to focus on maximizing the output of current teams by adopting AI tools before expanding their workforce. Kaufman’s perspective reflects his view that embracing AI is no longer optional; it’s crucial for surviving in the rapidly changing work environment.
