The fourth film in the Captain America saga, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, is set to debut on JioHotstar on May 28. This installment features Anthony Mackie stepping into the iconic role of Captain America for the first time, continuing the story of Sam Wilson as the new hero.
The movie made a strong impact at the box office, opening with an impressive $88.5 million and grossing over $415 million worldwide, according to Deadline. Directed by Julius Onah, the film boasts a star-studded cast including Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake.
Produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore, with executive producers Louis D'Esposito and Charles Newirth, the film received mixed reviews overall. However, Anthony Mackie’s performance was widely praised. Entertainment writer Chris Gallardo highlighted Mackie's portrayal, saying the film "proves Anthony Mackie has RIGHTFULLY EARNED the role of Captain America," and noted the great chemistry between Mackie and Danny Ramirez. Harrison Ford’s cameo as President Ross/Red Hulk was also singled out as charming, with the action sequences earning positive remarks.
