Amidst festivities, Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa's Deewaniyat set catches fire

Actor Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa have officially wrapped the shoot for their upcoming romantic drama ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’, but the celebrations nearly took a dangerous turn. In a video shared by Rane, a bunch of helium balloons caught fire during the wrap-up party on set — a moment the actor called a “freak accident” that fortunately resulted in no injuries.

The video shows the cast and crew celebrating after five consecutive night shoots when the balloons unexpectedly burst into flames just feet behind them, leading to visible panic and confusion. Co-star Sonam Bajwa, who plays Rane’s love interest in the film, was also present, but all crew members remained safe. Rane credited this to “guardian angels,” posting:

“You know God is on your film's side when a mishap doesn't touch you... Accidents and hiccups chose to keep distance from us.”

He also gave a shoutout to producer Anshul Sharma, calling him the “force behind this.”

About the Film

‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’, directed and co-written by Milap Zaveri (Masti, Shootout at Wadala), explores themes of love, passion, and obsession, suggesting a psychologically intense romantic narrative. It is set to release in theatres on October 2, 2025, aligning with the Gandhi Jayanti holiday weekend — often a prime slot for high-profile releases.

What’s Next for Harshvardhan Rane

After wrapping this film, Rane revealed plans to:

  • Co-star with Sadia Khateeb (The Diplomat) and Karan Veer Mehra (Bigg Boss 18 winner)

  • Prepare for psychology exams

  • Pursue his passion for wildlife photography

Rane’s schedule reflects a balanced focus on career, personal growth, and creative expression, adding further dimension to his profile in Indian cinema.

With Sonam Bajwa’s growing popularity and Rane’s increasing visibility across genres, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat could turn out to be a surprise success, especially with Milap Zaveri’s commercial storytelling style and the psychological undertones teased so far.
