The BTS ARMY's long wait is almost over as June brings a wave of exciting updates. After nearly two years of fulfilling their military duties, the BTS members are set to complete their service this month, inching closer to the much-anticipated OT7 (original seven) reunion.
V kicked off the countdown on June 1 with an Instagram post showing “Private Elio D-9,” officially signaling that he and RM will finish their service with the Military Police Special Task Force (SDT) on June 10. Following them, Jimin and Jungkook will be discharged on June 11, and Suga, who is currently serving as a social service worker, will complete his duty on June 21. This timeline sets the stage for BTS to officially end their hiatus that began in late 2022 and prepare for a full group comeback.
Meanwhile, the hyung line has already resumed activities: Jin, discharged on June 12, will hold his solo fan concert ‘Run Seok Jin—EP Tour’ at Goyang Stadium on June 28 and 29. J-Hope is also gearing up for his ‘Hope on the Stage Final’ concerts at the same venue on June 13 and 14.
HYBE confirmed that the group is aiming for full activities in 2025, with strong speculation that BTS will make their full comeback either by the end of this year or the first half of 2026.
On May 31, BTS released a playful self-produced video titled (2025 FESTA) BTS News on YouTube. Featuring Jin as the news anchor and J-Hope as a multi-role reporter (even portraying an ARMY fan), the skit is packed with humor, inside jokes, and classic BTS charm. The video also revealed this year’s FESTA theme, Twelve O’Clock, inspired by their song 00:00 (Zero O’Clock), symbolizing new beginnings. Jin described it as representing “the future we will walk together with ARMY.”
Big Hit Music has announced the offline FESTA event will take place on June 13 and 14 at KINTEX in Goyang, with 20 interactive booths spread across two large halls.
Celebrating their 12th debut anniversary this year, BTS is poised to enter a new chapter. Fans eagerly await whether this will bring a new era, a fresh album, or both—but one thing is certain: the purple magic is about to return in full force.
