Drishyam 3 will be released in October 2025, according to Mohanlal

Mohanlal officially announced Drishyam 3 on Saturday, sparking a wave of excitement among fans. The Malayalam film, which continues the gripping saga of Georgekutty, is slated for a theatrical release in October 2025.

The announcement came via a video shared on Mohanlal’s Instagram and X accounts. It featured a close-up of him in character, followed by the text: “Coming soon. Lights. Camera. October.” The post was captioned: “October 2025 – the camera turns back to Georgekutty. The past never stays silent.”

Fans flooded the post with comments, praising the return of the “classic criminal” and predicting another industry hit. One popular comment read: “He will go to any extent to protect his family. Yes! The legend is back!”

In an interview with IndiaToday.in, Mohanlal reflected on the impact of the Drishyam franchise:

Drishyam did great things for the Malayalam industry. It uplifted our cinema’s reach nationally and internationally, especially during the pandemic. People across India started watching Malayalam films because of Drishyam.”

The original Drishyam (2013) became a phenomenon, inspiring successful remakes in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Sinhalese, and even Chinese. Reports also confirm that the Hindi version of Drishyam 3, starring Ajay Devgn, is expected to begin filming in October 2025, possibly aligning with the Malayalam release.

With Drishyam 3, expectations are high for another intense, suspenseful chapter in Georgekutty’s story—one that may once again redefine crime thrillers in Indian cinema.
