Following Jimin and Jungkook of BTS, ARMY awaits Suga's comeback

Over the last few days, four members of BTS, South Korea's biggest boyband, have completed their mandatory military service. With the other two members discharged earlier, only Suga (Min Yoongi) remains in service. He began his duty on September 22, 2023, as a public service worker instead of active military duty due to a shoulder injury. He is expected to be discharged on June 21, 2025.

Before enlisting, Suga released his debut solo album D-Day under his stage name Agust D. As his discharge date approaches, fans—known as ARMY—are eagerly anticipating a full group reunion. BTS is expected to return to the charts later this year.

South Korea requires all able-bodied men between 18 and 35 to serve approximately 18–21 months in the military. This law is designed to maintain national security and is seen as both a civic duty and a patriotic responsibility.

So, what’s next?

Once Suga is discharged, the band is expected to reunite and resume group activities. Recently, fans noticed J-Hope wearing an outfit reminiscent of one the group wore during a memorable Run BTS episode—sparking excitement and speculation.

In an interview with Apple Music 1’s The Zane Lowe Show, J-Hope reflected on the band’s future:
“I think that over time, we each refined our unique identities as each of us worked on our own music and solo projects. The funny thing for me is when our identities, which have taken shape in various ways, come together as BTS. I’m curious to see what it’ll look like. We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it’s going to be a massive energy.”
