The Raja Saab teaser: Prabhas's horror comedy is full of shocks and chills

The teaser of Prabhas’s long-awaited film ‘The Raja Saab’ was finally unveiled on Monday, drawing enthusiastic responses across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Fans celebrated the moment with theatrical screenings in selected venues, as the teaser showcased Prabhas in a refreshing next-door boy avatar—a shift from his recent high-octane action roles.

This two-minute teaser blends folklore, fantasy, horror, and romance, offering a visually rich experience. It is heavy on VFX and features Prabhas in dual looks. The surprise entry of Sanjay Dutt in the teaser caught fans off guard, adding to the buzz. Glimpses of the female leads — Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar — were also revealed.

Director Maruthi, at the teaser launch, described the film as “a genre-defying journey” that weaves emotion with magic, mystery, and madness. He emphasized that the haveli setting plays a vital role, almost as a character within the film.

Ahead of the teaser, the makers released a pre-teaser on Sunday, offering eerie and spooky visuals. They hinted at the return of the "Rebel" energy associated with Prabhas, writing:

“The Rebel vibe starts tomorrow 10.52 am. Until then, enjoy this pre-teaser.”

However, excitement was briefly marred by leaks of visuals and stills, prompting the makers to issue a warning:

“Strict action will be taken and handles will be suspended immediately if any leaked content from #TheRajaSaab is found. Let’s celebrate responsibly.”

‘The Raja Saab’, in production since 2022, is a romantic horror comedy jointly produced by B4U Motion Pictures and AA Films. The film has music by Thaman S, cinematography by Karthik Palani, and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.

Originally set for an April 10 release, it is now slated to hit theatres on December 5, 2025, with fans eagerly awaiting a different shade of Prabhas.
