HCLTech has announced a strategic partnership with OpenAI to accelerate the adoption of generative AI solutions by large enterprises globally.
The collaboration marks a multi-year agreement under which HCLTech becomes one of OpenAI’s first strategic services partners. This partnership will allow HCLTech to deliver OpenAI’s models—including ChatGPT and other APIs—alongside its own AI expertise to enterprises looking to deploy AI at scale.
The focus of the partnership is on enterprise-scale implementation of AI, with HCLTech offering end-to-end services such as AI readiness assessments, model integration, training, governance, and long-term support. OpenAI’s technologies will be embedded into HCLTech’s platforms like AI Force, AI Foundry, and various industry-specific AI accelerators. These tools are designed to help clients automate processes, enhance customer and employee experiences, and streamline operations.
The partnership aims to benefit sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, banking, and retail—areas where HCLTech already has a robust presence—by improving decision-making and operational efficiency through AI.
HCLTech also plans to integrate ChatGPT Enterprise and other OpenAI APIs across its internal operations to enhance employee productivity in areas like content creation, coding, data analysis, and customer service—all in a secure, enterprise-grade environment.
Vijay Guntur, Global Chief Technology Officer and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech, said the partnership demonstrates the company’s commitment to enabling AI-driven transformation for enterprises. OpenAI’s Chief Commercial Officer Giancarlo Lionetti called HCLTech’s deep industry knowledge a key strength, noting that the company is helping define new benchmarks in how generative AI can drive business value.
