Producer Naga Vamsi has officially put to rest the rumors surrounding Jr NTR's role in War 2, confirming that the Telugu superstar will have a full-length role in the film. Amid growing online speculation that NTR might appear only briefly—around 30 to 40 minutes—Vamsi clarified in an interview with Gulte Pro:
“NTR being there for 30-40 minutes is not true. Both of them [Hrithik Roshan and NTR] will be there throughout the film. After the first 15 minutes, Tarak anna will enter, and both of them will dance to a song. It is a commercially packed film.”
This news will come as a relief to NTR fans who were concerned after watching the teaser, which focused more on Hrithik’s character. Vamsi’s statement confirms that War 2 will feature both stars prominently throughout the movie.
Vamsi also revealed that his banner, Sitara Entertainments, has acquired the Telugu distribution rights for War 2 for a reported ₹80 crore. He emphasized that his decision was based on faith in NTR’s judgment and the film’s strong commercial appeal.
He said:
“How everything will come together, even I will watch it with the audience in the morning show. Based on my faith in NTR’s judgement, I bought the film.”
War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, and is part of YRF’s Spy Universe. The film has been shot across five countries and includes six large-scale action set pieces, promising an adrenaline-filled cinematic experience.
The film is scheduled to release on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil—positioning itself as one of the biggest pan-India releases next year.
