Watch: Following her 14th Wimbledon semifinal victory, Djokovic does the "Pump It Up" dance with children

Novak Djokovic Dances His Way Into Wimbledon Semi-Finals—With a Little Help From His Kids

It was vintage Novak Djokovic on Centre Court Tuesday—calm under pressure, clinical in execution, and this time, charmingly playful at the end.

After grinding out a four-set win over Italy’s rising star Flavio Cobolli (6-7 (6), 6-2, 7-5, 6-4), the 38-year-old tennis icon turned the spotlight to the stands, locked eyes with his children, and broke into his now-familiar “Pump It Up” celebration dance.

The moment was pure joy. Djokovic threw down his trademark fist-pumping move, known as “pumpa” in Serbian, while his kids—cheering him on from the Centre Court box—leapt up and danced along. The entire stadium responded with smiles and applause.

This wasn’t a one-time moment. After his fourth-round win against Alex de Minaur, Djokovic had shared the same victory dance courtside with daughter Tara, a clip that quickly made the rounds on social media and melted hearts everywhere.

While Djokovic is known for his precision, passion, and sometimes polarising energy on court, these small, personal celebrations are revealing a more relaxed, even softened side of the Grand Slam titan.

And yet, the numbers remain staggering:

  • 102 Wimbledon match wins

  • 52 Grand Slam semi-final appearances, tying Chris Evert’s all-time Open Era record

Still, despite his ever-growing statistical dominance, it’s these family-filled, light-hearted post-match moments that are stealing the headlines—and perhaps winning over a few more hearts in the process.

Next up: a blockbuster semi-final clash with world No. 1 Jannik Sinner. But for now, Djokovic seems to be enjoying every minute—fatherhood, fist-pumps, and all.
