According to an IAS officer, she was hounded by her husband's business partner regarding hotel transactions


IAS officer Chaitra V has filed a police complaint against hotel businessman Naren Raj, the business partner of her husband, G Harish Kumar. The FIR was registered at Alambagh police station in Lucknow based on her allegations.

According to the complaint, Harish Kumar and Naren Raj jointly ran a hotel business that suffered financial losses. Following this, Naren Raj allegedly began pressuring Chaitra V to arrange meetings with influential hotel entrepreneurs. She claimed that when she refused, he started mentally harassing her.

Chaitra V, who currently serves as the Director General of Youth Welfare and PRD Department in Uttar Pradesh, stated that the harassment had been ongoing for several weeks. She alleged that it was affecting both her personal life and her professional responsibilities, causing considerable distress.

Alambagh police station in-charge Subhash Saroj confirmed that the FIR has been registered and that a detailed investigation is underway. Police teams are collecting evidence and recording witness statements. According to Chaitra V, when she declined to comply with these demands, Naren Raj allegedly resorted to mentally harassing her. She claimed that this harassment was persistent, occurring over several weeks, and that it began to affect multiple aspects of her life. In her account, the emotional distress not only disrupted her peace of mind at home but also interfered with her ability to focus on her official duties as the Director General of Youth Welfare and PRD Department in Uttar Pradesh. She emphasized that the situation had caused a significant toll on her mental well-being, leading her to seek legal recourse.

Alambagh police station in-charge, Subhash Saroj, confirmed the receipt of the complaint and the registration of the FIR. He stated that a comprehensive investigation is now underway. The police are gathering relevant evidence, including documentary records, communication logs, and possible CCTV footage. Additionally, statements from witnesses and individuals connected to the case are being recorded. Authorities have assured that once the inquiry is completed, appropriate legal action will be taken under the findings, ensuring that justice is served fairly and transparently.
