Israel said that Gaza City must be evacuated in order to provide greater aid during the conflict

Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee has issued a statement on X, stressing that the evacuation of Gaza City and parts of the northern Gaza Strip is now unavoidable as the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) prepare to enter a new stage of their operations in the region. He called on families residing in these areas to move southward, assuring them that those who comply with the evacuation orders will be granted considerable humanitarian assistance. According to him, this aid is being actively organized and will be provided to ensure that displaced civilians have access to essential supplies and relief measures.

Adraee highlighted that relocating south is not only a safety precaution but also a necessary step to allow the IDF to continue its military campaign with fewer risks to civilian lives. He emphasized that humanitarian support would be distributed generously to all families who leave Gaza City, noting that the preparations for this aid are already underway. This appeal was presented as both a warning of the inevitability of the evacuation and as a reassurance of the support residents will receive if they move.

In a follow-up statement addressing concerns and what he described as false rumors regarding the southern region’s capacity, Adraee clarified that the area is not overcrowded. He explained that vast tracts of land remain unoccupied, including sections within central camps and Al-Mawasi, which can accommodate new arrivals. These places, he noted, are not currently filled with tents and have already been surveyed by the Israeli military to evaluate their readiness for housing displaced populations.

Adraee further stated that the IDF has begun making concrete arrangements to support those who relocate. These preparations include setting up tent complexes, distributing humanitarian aid through designated centers, and laying down infrastructure such as water supply lines. The initiative, according to him, is part of a broader plan to ensure that civilians receive shelter, food, and medical assistance while the military continues its operations inside Gaza’s most densely populated urban areas.

He concluded by affirming that this humanitarian framework is being developed with the intention of reducing civilian hardship during the conflict. Additional details regarding the exact locations of aid distribution points and settlement areas in the south are expected to be revealed in the coming days, as the IDF finalizes its plans for civilian relocation and support.0
