Rain is still falling in Delhi-NCR, and several regions are experiencing waterlogging and traffic gridlock

Several areas of Delhi-NCR experienced light to moderate rainfall on Friday, which led to widespread waterlogging and disruptions across the region. In Gurugram, visuals revealed commuters grappling with flooded stretches, particularly along National Highway 48. Among the worst-hit was the Narsinghpur stretch, where traffic flow slowed to a crawl and movement became extremely difficult.

The rainfall, although moderate in intensity, was sufficient to cause major inconvenience for both residents and office workers. Vehicles moved at a sluggish pace through inundated roads, forcing daily commuters to face delays and extended travel times. The water accumulation in several low-lying areas of the city further compounded the problem, creating bottlenecks and traffic snarls.

Satellite imagery from the past six hours indicated the presence of intense to very intense convective cloud formations over a wide belt covering multiple states. According to the India Meteorological Department, these cloud systems extended across West Uttarakhand, the southern parts of Haryana adjoining Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, and parts of the southwest region.
