On Friday evening, Ghaziabad was shaken by a tragic road accident that unfolded on the busy Delhi-Meerut Expressway in the jurisdiction of the Vijay Nagar police station. A traffic policeman, Constable Vipin Kumar, who was on duty regulating vehicular movement, became the victim of a high-speed collision. The incident was recorded on CCTV cameras installed in the area, and the footage clearly shows a white Ertiga car recklessly swerving lanes at an alarming speed before crashing directly into the constable. The force of the impact was horrifying, as it sent him soaring nearly ten feet into the air before his body fell to the ground roughly a hundred metres away, leaving onlookers stunned and horrified.
The gravity of the accident was immediately apparent. Constable Vipin Kumar was rushed without delay to Manipal Hospital in Ghaziabad, where he was admitted straight to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, the police acted swiftly, analyzing the CCTV footage to track down the car and the driver within hours. Investigations later revealed that the car was officially registered under the name of Vineet’s brother, adding another dimension to the case.
