Late Saturday night, a disturbance erupted outside Palassio Mall in Lucknow’s Sushant Golf City area when an argument at the mall’s entry gate escalated into gunfire, creating panic among bystanders. According to police reports, a group of youngsters engaged in a dispute with the mall’s security personnel, during which one individual brandished a licensed revolver and fired a shot into the air. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, though the gunfire caused significant commotion at the scene.
The Lucknow police responded swiftly, bringing the situation under control within a short span of time. In the course of their intervention, four individuals were taken into custody, including the youth who discharged the firearm and a woman who was accompanying the group. Authorities confirmed that the licensed weapon used during the incident has been seized.
An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances leading to the altercation and gunfire. The police are examining the events closely to ascertain the responsibility of those involved and ensure that appropriate legal action is taken against the accused. The prompt response helped prevent injuries and contained what could have escalated into a more serious situation.
