K Kavitha accuses his own party of damaging the reputation of the former Telangana chief minister

BRS MLC K Kavitha has created turmoil within her own party by openly accusing her colleagues of being responsible for damaging the reputation of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) through corruption allegations. She claimed that the “corruption tag” attached to KCR was not due to his governance but because of internal conspiracies orchestrated by leaders within the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

Kavitha directly named senior leader and ex-minister T. Harish Rao, along with former Rajya Sabha MP “Megha” Krishna Reddy, alleging that they played a key role in defaming KCR. She further pointed towards Harish Rao and Santosh Kumar, accusing them of hatching conspiracies against her within the party. According to her, these internal betrayals were the real reason KCR’s image was tainted in the eyes of the public.

Speaking to party cadres, Kavitha said they should reflect on how the perception of corruption became associated with KCR. She emphasized that it was not his policies or projects but rather the actions of those close to him who deliberately attached such a label. She insisted that she had personally endured several plots and political backstabbing by Harish Rao and Santosh Kumar.

On the Kaleshwaram irrigation project, which has faced criticism, Kavitha strongly defended her father’s vision. She described the project as a “historic asset” that would benefit Telangana for centuries, stating that it would be remembered even after 200 years. She also expressed confidence that KCR would come out of the ongoing CBI inquiry “as pure as a pearl,” free of all allegations.

Kavitha did not hold back in her criticism of the ruling Congress government. She accused it of wasting precious time by relying on the PC Ghose Commission instead of taking decisive steps, such as approaching the Supreme Court regarding BC reservations. She alleged that the interests of Telangana’s backward classes were being compromised for political gains in the Bihar elections. Declaring their opposition, she announced that they would actively campaign against Congress in Bihar.

Targeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Kavitha mocked him by saying that his photographs only appear in newspapers when he speaks about KCR. She also issued a stern warning to her online critics and trolls, threatening them by saying, “If you troll me on social media, I will skin you alive.”
