Ten days after he went missing, the tragic case of senior journalist Rajiv Pratap reached a grim conclusion when his body was recovered from Joshiada Lake in Uttarkashi district on Sunday. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Janak Singh Panwar, search teams located and retrieved the body, bringing an end to the frantic efforts that had been underway since his unexplained disappearance on the night of September 18. His car had earlier been discovered abandoned along the bank of the Bhagirathi River on September 19, deepening suspicions and concerns about the circumstances leading to his disappearance.
