The Sapta Shakti Command of the Indian Army recently carried out an extensive integrated firepower exercise named ‘AMOGH FURY’ at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan’s Thar Desert. This large-scale drill was designed to put to the test the Army’s combat strength, coordination abilities, and overall operational readiness in conditions that closely simulated real-time battle scenarios. It highlighted the preparedness of the force to respond effectively to multi-domain operations, where threats can emerge simultaneously across land, air, and technology-driven platforms.
During the exercise, the Army showcased the seamless coordination of various combat arms and assets, combining the power of battle tanks, infantry combat vehicles, attack helicopters, long-range artillery, and drones. These diverse platforms were synchronised in joint manoeuvres to demonstrate how ground forces and aerial capabilities can be effectively integrated to execute both offensive strikes and defensive responses.
