A Rave party was busted close to Hyderabad; drugs were found, and 22 of the 65 children were arrested

In a major late-night operation, Telangana police dismantled an illegal rave party taking place at a farmhouse in Moinabad, detaining 65 individuals, including 22 minors. The raid, executed by the Special Operations Team (SOT), followed a tip-off regarding an unauthorized event that was allegedly being promoted across social media platforms. Officials described the gathering as a “Trap House Party,” which was organized without any official permission or regulatory oversight. The police reported that underage participants were found consuming alcohol and narcotic substances, raising serious concerns about the event’s nature and the safety of those involved.

Upon entering the premises, officers seized several bottles of imported liquor and other incriminating materials that pointed to the use of illegal substances. Two attendees, including the main organiser, identified as Ishaan, reportedly tested positive for ganja during preliminary testing. Authorities said the event was not spontaneous but a well-planned and profit-driven affair. Entry to the party was ticketed, with prices set at ₹1,600 for individuals and ₹2,800 for couples. This commercial element, combined with the illegal consumption of drugs and alcohol, indicated that the event had a structured and recurring nature rather than being a one-off incident.

Investigators further revealed that the organiser, who is a college student, is suspected of hosting similar parties in the past. Police are now probing whether there exists a wider network of organisers and promoters who have been coordinating such events in and around Hyderabad. The involvement of minors in such illegal activities has particularly alarmed the authorities, prompting a deeper investigation into how underage individuals gained access to the event and whether any fake identification was used during the ticketing process.

Following the raid, the police registered a case under Section 27 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, along with other relevant laws on endangering minors and hosting unlicensed gatherings. Parents of the detained minors have been informed, and several of them were called to the police station to take custody of their children after formal questioning. Officials emphasized that such incidents reflect a growing trend of underground parties that operate outside legal boundaries, often facilitated by social media promotions that target young audiences.

Senior police officers issued a stern warning that such illegal and unlicensed parties will not be tolerated, especially when they involve narcotics or underage drinking. They reiterated that both organisers and suppliers will face strict legal consequences, and the authorities will continue to monitor digital activity to preempt future violations. Investigators are currently examining phone records, payment transactions, and social media activity linked to the event to uncover the entire network behind the operation.

The Moinabad rave party incident has once again brought attention to the increasing prevalence of drug-related gatherings among urban youth. Officials stressed the importance of parental awareness, community vigilance, and stricter enforcement to prevent similar incidents in the future. As the investigation continues, police are determined to dismantle any organised groups that profit from exploiting young people through such dangerous and illegal events.
