The tragic incident has sparked shock and mourning both in India and among the Indian student community in the US. After completing his Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery (BDS), he pursued higher studies in the United States while simultaneously gaining work experience in the technology and finance sectors, including roles at American Express and Hitachi Energy. His recent part-time role with GEICO in Denton reflected his dedication to balancing education and work commitments abroad.

Political leaders and community members have expressed condolences, highlighting the vulnerability of students living far from home and the need for greater safety measures. BRS MLA T Harish Rao, along with other leaders, visited the family in Hyderabad to offer support and assure assistance in repatriating Chandrashekar’s body. The Telangana government has confirmed that it will provide all necessary help for the return and last rites of the young student.

The news has also prompted discussions on student safety and the challenges faced by international students working part-time while pursuing higher education. Many in the Indian diaspora community have called for increased vigilance and measures to protect students living alone abroad. Families, friends, and authorities are now coordinating to ensure that justice is served for Chandrashekar Pole, and that his family receives support during this devastating time.
