The Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) has recently attracted widespread attention after its members collectively purchased 190 luxury cars worth between ₹50 lakh and ₹1.5 crore each through a massive bulk deal. The large-scale purchase, completed over the past few months, resulted in an impressive saving of ₹21.5 crore for the members, as automobile giants such as Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz extended heavy discounts to the organisation.
Although the initiative spanned across India, a significant portion of the buyers came from Gujarat, particularly Ahmedabad. According to sources, around 30 of the 190 cars were purchased by members based in the city. The deal demonstrated the collective strength and purchasing power of the Jain community, whose members have long emphasised unity and financial collaboration to achieve mutual prosperity.
JITO, founded in 2007, was established to promote economic empowerment among members of the Jain community across the country. In pursuit of this mission, the organisation launched the J Point Platform three years ago, a digital initiative designed to facilitate inquiries and transactions related to sales and purchases. Through this platform, members have been able to access bulk deals on various high-value products, from iPhones and electronic devices to premium cars.
Discussing the latest deal, Nitin Jain, Chairman of J Point, explained that the collective negotiation strategy had proven extremely effective. “In recent months, our members have purchased 190 luxury cars, including BMWs, Audis, and Mercedes models, through coordinated bulk deals. This allowed us to secure a total discount of ₹21.5 crore,” he said, noting that community-driven bulk buying continues to yield major financial advantages for members.
Amit Shah, the Convenor of the J Point Platform, underscored the benefits of the partnership between J Point and JITO. “Because our trade organisation includes thousands of members, major companies offer exclusive discounts on a wide range of items, from cars to electronic gadgets and iPhones,” he stated, adding that the platform has become an essential tool for the community’s economic collaboration.
Since its establishment, JITO has served as a national network for businesspersons and professionals, enabling them to connect, collaborate, and enhance trade opportunities within the Jain community. Co-Convenor Prakshal Shah shared that the organisation now has around 30,000 members nationwide, with nearly 5,000 residing in Gujarat alone. “We believe in community-based buying, which helps our members obtain products at competitive prices. Currently, we are negotiating bulk deals on over 15 different products,” he revealed.
The organisation also offers lifetime memberships priced between ₹2 lakh and ₹20 lakh, granting members access to such large-scale purchasing benefits. This latest deal further reinforces JITO’s reputation as a model for collective economic empowerment and cooperative growth among business communities in India.
