Rajnath Singh further elaborated that the government’s approach to national security has always been measured and strategic, prioritizing intelligence, precision, and minimal collateral damage. He said that India’s armed forces operate with professionalism, ensuring that operations are targeted strictly against those responsible for attacks on civilians or security personnel. “Our actions are deliberate and calculated, aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and preventing future threats, not at creating chaos,” he added.
The Defence Minister also highlighted the importance of military modernization in strengthening India’s defensive and offensive capabilities. He noted that continuous investment in cutting-edge technology, advanced weaponry, and rigorous training has enabled the armed forces to respond swiftly and effectively to threats, whether conventional or asymmetric. Singh remarked that these measures have made India a formidable power capable of securing its borders while maintaining strategic restraint.
Addressing concerns about regional stability, Singh emphasized that India’s cross-border operations are defensive in nature, meant to send a clear message that any aggression against Indian territory or citizens will be met with decisive retaliation. He stressed that India’s policy does not target communities or religions but focuses solely on terrorist entities and infrastructures. “We distinguish between terrorists and civilians. Our operations are guided by intelligence and operational precision,” he said.
Singh concluded by asserting that India’s national security strategy is grounded in a combination of diplomacy, deterrence, and readiness to act. He urged citizens to have faith in the armed forces and the government’s commitment to protecting the nation. “Every strike, every operation is a testament to India’s resolve to uphold its sovereignty and protect its people. We will continue to act decisively whenever our national interest demands it,” he affirmed.
