Modi stated that India has positioned itself as a dependable nation during global emergencies, arguing that the country now responds rapidly to crises and supports other nations in times of need. He linked this approach to India’s cultural values, saying that the nation’s traditions emphasise welfare and compassion for all living beings. According to him, India’s external conduct and crisis-response philosophy reflect these long-standing principles.
He said that national development is inseparable from the progress of individual states, and emphasised that the central government’s growth framework is based on the idea that developing each state contributes directly to a stronger India. He referenced the Viksit Bharat mission as a key driver of this vision and suggested that spiritual and social organisations also have an important role in shaping a modern and prosperous nation. Speaking at the Brahma Kumaris event, he described his decades-long association with the institution to underscore continuity between government programmes and cultural or spiritual values.
Modi also highlighted the significance of the day, as Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand completed 25 years since their formation. He extended congratulations to residents of all three states and framed the occasion as symbolic of India’s federal progress. He linked state-formation anniversaries with broader national aspirations, implying that younger states contribute to India's forward momentum and developmental ambitions.
Before the main event, Modi interacted with children treated for congenital heart diseases under the “Gift of Life” initiative at a hospital in Nava Raipur. Former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar joined the interaction, giving the programme a public-recognition dimension and reinforcing the humanitarian aspect of the initiative. Modi noted the emotional and symbolic importance of such initiatives, presenting them as examples of welfare-driven governance.
Later in the ceremony, the Prime Minister planned to take part in the Rajat Mahotsav, celebrating 25 years of Chhattisgarh, and inaugurate or launch projects worth over ₹14,000 crore. These projects span infrastructure, healthcare, industrial expansion, energy, and connectivity. He was also scheduled to inaugurate the new Chhattisgarh Assembly building and unveil a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, tying ongoing development works to political legacy and institutional continuity.
