Actor Nora Fatehi criticizes the drug syndicate link accusation, saying, I don't go to parties

The Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell recently uncovered a major drug trafficking network allegedly operated by wanted narcotics kingpin Salim Dola, who is believed to be closely associated with underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim. As investigators probed deeper into the syndicate’s operations, the names of several Bollywood actors, musicians, models, filmmakers, and even individuals linked to the Ibrahim family surfaced, causing a storm across the entertainment industry. Among those whose names reportedly appeared in the investigation was actress Nora Fatehi, prompting a strong, public rebuttal from her.

Two days after media reports suggested that her name had been mentioned during the police inquiry, Nora Fatehi issued a sharply worded statement on Instagram, vehemently denying any connection to the drug racket or attendance at any such parties. Beginning her post with a bold “FYI,” the actress stressed that she does not attend parties, spends most of her time travelling for work, and leads a highly disciplined, work-driven lifestyle. She wrote that she barely has a personal life and does not associate with people involved in illegal or questionable activities.

Fatehi added that when she does unwind, she prefers spending time with close friends or relaxing in Dubai, away from the chaos of the industry. Emphasising her dedication to her career, she urged her followers not to believe unverified reports. She also accused portions of the media of habitually dragging her name into controversies in order to use her image as “clickbait,” saying she had remained silent once in the past when similar attempts were made to malign her reputation, but would not tolerate it this time.

Her message grew more pointed as she warned media outlets against linking her to events or individuals she has no connection with. She stated that using her name irresponsibly would “come with a heavy price,” signaling that she is prepared to take action if the false narratives continue. She concluded by urging journalists and platforms to refrain from exploiting her image in unrelated matters.

Meanwhile, the drug syndicate investigation led by the Anti-Narcotics Cell has yielded significant information, especially following the interrogation of Salim Dola’s son, Taher Dola. Taher, who was extradited from the UAE in August, has reportedly disclosed details about multiple drug-fueled parties he arranged both within India and abroad. According to remand papers accessed by India Today, investigators allege that Taher was actively organising and supplying narcotics—particularly mephedrone (popularly known as M-Cat, Meow Meow, or Ice)—to high-profile gatherings attended by celebrities.

The remand report lists several individuals said to have been present at past parties organised by Taher. Among the names mentioned were Alisha Parkar, Shraddha Kapoor, and her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Zishan Siddiqui, influencer Orhan (Ori), filmmaker duo Abbas-Mastan, rapper Loka, and others, along with Nora Fatehi, whose inclusion she has firmly refuted. The document states that Taher personally participated in these events and supplied drugs to attendees.

In light of these revelations, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Mumbai Crime Branch have intensified their scrutiny of the alleged drug network’s financial and operational structure. With the investigation expanding and more names coming into focus, the Mumbai Crime Branch is expected to summon the actors, filmmakers, and other individuals referenced in the interrogation papers. Their statements are likely to play a crucial role in determining the next steps, including potential arrests or further legal action, as authorities work to dismantle the syndicate’s operations.
