Mumbai Police have called social media personality Orry in connection with a Rs 252-crore narcotics case

Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell has summoned social media influencer Orhan “Orry” Awatramani for questioning in the ₹252-crore mephedrone case, directing him to appear before the ANC’s Ghatkopar unit at 10 am tomorrow. Police have not revealed what specific role Orry may have played, but his name surfaced during the interrogation of Taher Dola, son of alleged drug trafficker Salim Dola, who was recently extradited from the UAE.

According to remand documents accessed by investigators, Taher claimed that his father organised drug-fuelled parties both in India and overseas, reportedly attended by high-profile personalities including Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, filmmakers Abbas-Mastan, rapper Loka, and Orry. Investigators believe Salim Dola was supplying mephedrone across multiple Indian states while also exporting it abroad, making the case one of the largest narcotics investigations currently underway. The Enforcement Directorate and Mumbai Crime Branch are conducting parallel probes, and more celebrities, rappers, and filmmakers may soon be summoned for statements.

Orry is simultaneously facing a separate controversy linked to a January 2024 video showing him and friends consuming alcohol at a hotel near the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra, where liquor consumption is restricted. Following public outrage, Jammu and Kashmir Police registered an FIR under excise laws, questioned hotel staff, and initiated proceedings against the establishment for permitting alcohol in a notified pilgrimage zone. Authorities have also indicated that all individuals appearing in the footage, including Orry, will face action.
