Multiple LinkedIn profiles have been found using the same photograph of a model whose image Rahul Gandhi recently claimed appears several times in Haryana’s voter list. At least eleven fake professional accounts on the platform feature the same picture, which was originally taken by Brazilian photographer Matheus Ferrero more than eight years ago and has since circulated widely online.
Rahul Gandhi, while presenting a report titled “The H Files,” alleged that the same woman’s face shows up at least twenty-two times in Haryana’s electoral database under different identities, including names such as Seema, Sweety, and Sarsawati. He argued this demonstrated large-scale voter duplication and manipulation.
The identical image has been spotted across multiple LinkedIn accounts claiming a range of professional backgrounds and locations. Examples include a Senior Software Engineer in Indore, allegedly employed by Meta, a Cloud Engineer said to be working with L&T, and an Office Manager based in Washington, DC. The profiles span different regions, from Los Angeles in the United States to Bahawalpur in Pakistan.
Additional profiles using the same photograph list roles such as a marketing manager in Delhi, a senior software engineer at Amazon in Bengaluru, an interior designer in Mumbai, and an engineer at Microsoft in Ahmedabad. Many of these accounts appear inactive or lack credible details, suggesting they are fabricated.
The photograph has long been available in the public domain and has been used as a stock-style image on blogs and in news articles. Citing this as evidence of broader electoral manipulation, Gandhi claimed that around 2.5 million entries in Haryana’s voter list are either duplicated, fabricated, or structured in a way that enables fraudulent voting.
