Video: After a fight outside the hotel, a car ran over a cafe owner with a criminal history

A cafe owner with a history of criminal cases in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, was critically injured after being intentionally hit by a speeding car during a late-night confrontation outside a local hotel. The attack, which unfolded on Wednesday night, was recorded on CCTV and has since been widely shared on social media.

The victim, 35-year-old Vicky Singh, had gone to Meghdoot Hotel for dinner after shutting his cafe for the day. While there, he reportedly got into a heated argument with a man named Ateeq. Singh eventually left the spot but later returned with an associate known as Sheru.

When Singh stepped out of the hotel after finishing his meal, Ateeq and Sheru allegedly drove back in their car, accelerated toward him, and struck him from behind in an apparent attempt to kill him. The collision left Singh gravely injured. People nearby rushed to help, quickly arranging his transport to a hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

Residents and witnesses have hinted that Singh and Ateeq had a long-running dispute, which may have escalated into the violent attack.

Police have launched an investigation, filed a case of attempted murder, and begun searching for the two accused, who escaped immediately after the incident. Security patrols have been intensified, and raids are underway to trace their whereabouts. Authorities also confirmed that Singh himself has a criminal background, with four assault-related cases previously registered against him.
