Video: Suspected Hamas members are seen robbing an aid vehicle in Gaza in US drone footage

The footage shows suspected Hamas-linked gunmen seizing a humanitarian aid truck in southern Gaza. The US military says an American MQ-9 drone recorded armed individuals stopping the vehicle, assaulting the driver, and taking the truck and supplies near northern Khan Younis. The driver’s condition is unclear.

CENTCOM identified the incident through the US-led Civil-Military Coordination Center in Kiryat Gat, which oversees aid flow and monitors the ceasefire. About two hundred US personnel and representatives from dozens of partner nations work there to coordinate humanitarian logistics, security, and post-conflict stabilisation.

Washington says more than six hundred aid and commercial trucks have entered Gaza daily over the last week. US officials argue theft undermines relief operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio shared the video and claimed Hamas continues diverting aid.

The UN reports that looting has decreased to about five percent of shipments since the ceasefire began, down sharply from earlier periods. UN data suggests most losses earlier in the year came before formal distribution, caused by both armed groups and civilians driven by scarcity.

During his visit, Joint Chiefs chair Gen. Dan Caine met Israeli leaders and reviewed coordination operations. The visit included aerial observation of Gaza’s border region and a briefing at the CMCC. The event highlights ongoing concerns over aid security, even under a truce framework.
