Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that Andhra Pradesh’s proactive policy framework, transparent system of governance, and clear, development-oriented roadmap have played a decisive role in strengthening investor confidence in the state.
Naidu made these remarks during a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi on Friday. The two leaders reviewed the progress of several key projects currently being implemented in Andhra Pradesh and discussed a range of initiatives aimed at accelerating development and attracting fresh investment into the state.
During the interaction, Naidu briefed Shah on the strong and encouraging response received at the CII Partnership Summit 2025 held in Visakhapatnam. He pointed out that several major Indian and global companies had shown keen interest in investing in Andhra Pradesh across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, energy, and services. According to the Chief Minister, this response reflected growing confidence among investors in the state’s policy stability and long-term vision.
Naidu emphasised that Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly environment has been built through consistent policy decisions, openness in administration, and a focused approach toward sustainable economic growth. He said these factors have helped position the state as a preferred destination for domestic and international investment.
The meeting also included discussions on the prevailing political situation in Andhra Pradesh. Both leaders reviewed recent political developments, emerging challenges, and broader dynamics that could influence governance and the effective implementation of policies in the state.
After meeting the Home Minister, Naidu attended the CREDAI National Conclave, where he interacted with leaders from the real estate sector. At the event organised by CREDAI, he presented Andhra Pradesh’s urban development vision, highlighted investment opportunities, and outlined strategies to promote sustained growth in real estate and allied sectors.
In a post on X, Naidu described Amaravati as a rare opportunity to build a world-class capital city. He said Amaravati offers visionary developers the chance to invest with confidence, create iconic projects, and partner with the state in shaping a future-ready urban centre with global standards.
Later, Naidu also met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi to discuss the expansion and integration of road infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. He appreciated Gadkari’s efforts in strengthening and modernising India’s national highway network and underlined the importance of improved road connectivity in driving economic growth and regional development.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Amaravati, being a greenfield capital city, requires seamless direct and indirect integration with the national highway grid to support long-term growth, efficient logistics, enhanced mobility, and better inter-city access. He urged the Centre to prioritise these road links to unlock the city’s full economic potential.
Naidu specifically discussed the proposal for a six-lane cable-stayed bridge across the Krishna River at Muktyala–Mulapadu, which would connect NH-65 and NH-13. He requested that the project be executed through the National Highways Authority of India, stressing that the bridge would be a critical infrastructure asset for the state.
Overall, Naidu reiterated that Andhra Pradesh’s growth strategy is firmly anchored in transparent governance, infrastructure-led development, and proactive engagement with investors, all of which have helped build strong confidence in the state’s economic future.
