Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated that his administration has transformed the state’s law-and-order situation, emphasising that the absence of riots and curfews during his tenure reflects a sustained shift from the instability once associated with the region. Speaking at an event in Delhi, he said the focus on stringent policing, strong governance and clear accountability has strengthened public confidence and helped reshape the state’s image.
Linking his remarks to the symbolism of December 6, Adityanath described the demolition of the disputed Babri Masjid structure in 1992 as the day that “removed a stigma” from Uttar Pradesh and altered the political and social landscape of the state. He highlighted how developments since then have culminated in the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, following the Supreme Court’s 2019 verdict. Calling the consecration ceremony on January 22, 2024, the most significant moment of his life, he described the temple as both a cultural milestone and a defining political achievement.
Contrasting the present with conditions before 2017, the Chief Minister said the calm law-and-order climate has supported economic confidence, encouraging residents and businesses to operate without fear. He has consistently maintained that peace in the state has been a major factor behind stronger investment sentiment.
Adityanath argued that investing in Uttar Pradesh was once considered unthinkable when safety could not be guaranteed, but the state has since undergone an image transformation by implementing zero-tolerance measures against crime and corruption. He added that policy reforms and improved governance have helped Uttar Pradesh evolve from a market of potential to one of the most attractive investment destinations in India. Referring to the Ground Breaking Ceremony series, he said proposals worth more than ₹12 lakh crore across four editions since 2018 illustrate rising investor trust.
Calling December 6 a significant date for the nation, he said the day represents a turning point that restored cultural pride and marked a new phase for Uttar Pradesh’s identity and development trajectory.
