A 28-year-old Indian man attending a music festival in Thailand passes away mysteriously

Thai authorities are investigating the unexplained death of Saksham Jain, a 28-year-old Indian citizen who had travelled to Thailand to attend the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC). Jain was found in an unconscious state and was rushed by emergency responders to a local hospital, where doctors later pronounced him dead. The incident occurred on January 18, according to a report by the Bangkok Post.

Following confirmation of the death by medical staff, police from the Thalang Police Station in Phuket launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the incident. Preliminary findings suggest that after spending some time at the music festival, Jain walked toward a nearby parking area. There, he reportedly climbed onto the back of a local resident’s pickup truck and began behaving erratically, including dancing in a manner described by witnesses as unusual and unnatural.

Residents who noticed his behaviour reportedly grew concerned and contacted the local police. However, before officers could arrive at the scene, Jain suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness. Witnesses then called emergency medical services, who arrived promptly and transported him to Thalang Hospital. Despite medical efforts, doctors were unable to revive him and declared him dead shortly after arrival.

Medical personnel were initially unable to determine a definitive cause of death. As a result, the body was sent for a comprehensive post-mortem examination to Vachira Phuket Hospital to establish the cause through a full autopsy. Police officials have stated that a preliminary external examination revealed no visible injuries, wounds, or signs of physical trauma on the body.

Investigators have noted that, apart from confirming Jain’s nationality, limited information is currently available regarding his background, travel companions, or activities prior to the incident. Authorities continue to await autopsy results and are examining witness statements, medical findings, and other evidence to clarify the circumstances surrounding his sudden death.
