A Delhi police officer who retired owing to a disability was killed in a factory by being assaulted with his crutch

A retired sub-inspector of the Delhi Police was brutally beaten to death with his own crutch, and his blood-soaked body was discovered inside his factory premises in Haryana’s Sonipat district on Thursday morning. The victim, identified as Dalbir, had taken voluntary retirement four months ago due to disability and had since been living in Rajpur village, where he had set up a small factory. The shocking discovery prompted immediate action from local police and crime branch teams, who rushed to the spot and began an investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made in the case.

According to police officials, they received information through the control room about a body lying inside a factory in Rajpur village. Upon reaching the location, they found Dalbir lying dead in a pool of blood. Preliminary investigation revealed that he had been attacked with his own crutch, which he used due to his physical condition. The scene indicated a violent assault, and forensic teams were called in to collect evidence.

Dalbir had been residing alone at the factory since his retirement. His son, Sandeep, told police that his father had served as a sub-inspector in the Delhi Police and had shifted to the village after leaving service. He also stated that his father had recently established the factory and was managing it on his own. Sandeep expressed suspicion against a person from the same village, suggesting that the attacker could be someone known to the family.

Police officials said they are examining all possible angles, including personal enmity and local disputes. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are questioning residents and reviewing evidence from the scene to identify those responsible for the murder.
