His family confirmed that he passed away on Sunday, January 4, surrounded by loved ones. In a statement, his wife Colleen Reagan and his children Cameron Reagan and Ashley Reagan Dunster said they were heartbroken by the loss of a man who meant so much to his family and to those who knew him. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed.
Michael Reagan was a familiar figure in conservative media circles. He was a contributor to the conservative television network Newsmax and hosted a long-running radio programme, The Michael Reagan Show, in which he regularly discussed politics, public policy, and cultural issues from a conservative perspective.
Born in 1945 to Irene Flaugher, Michael Reagan was adopted shortly after birth by Ronald Reagan and his first wife, actress Jane Wyman. He often spoke candidly about the complexities of growing up as an adopted child in a famous family. In his autobiographical works On the Outside Looking In and Twice Adopted, he reflected on a childhood that was sometimes difficult, his evolving relationship with his parents, and his personal journey of faith.
