India has issued urgent security advisories for its citizens in Israel and Iran, asking them to remain highly cautious as tensions across the Middle East intensify following reported military strikes involving Israel, the United States and Iran. The advisories were released amid fears of a wider regional conflict and rapidly evolving security conditions.
The Embassy of India in Tel Aviv advised Indian nationals in Israel to strictly comply with safety instructions issued by local authorities and Israel’s Home Front Command. Citizens were urged to stay close to designated bomb shelters, identify protected spaces near their homes or workplaces, and avoid all non-essential travel until further notice. The embassy also asked people to closely monitor local news updates, official announcements and emergency alerts. A round-the-clock emergency helpline has been activated, and officials said the mission remains in continuous coordination with Israeli authorities while monitoring developments.
At the same time, the Indian Embassy in Tehran issued a separate advisory directing Indian nationals in Iran to exercise utmost caution, minimise movement and remain indoors as far as possible. Citizens were encouraged to stay alert, follow verified news sources and await further instructions from the embassy as the situation develops.
The advisories follow Israel’s announcement that it had carried out what it described as a pre-emptive military strike against Iran, sharply escalating regional tensions. US President Donald Trump later confirmed that American forces had begun major combat operations in Iran alongside Israeli actions, describing the strikes as necessary in response to Iran’s nuclear and missile programmes. Israeli authorities subsequently issued nationwide alerts urging civilians to remain near shelters as warning sirens sounded in multiple areas.
