A tragic incident occurred in Gurugram where a 38-year-old man, identified as Rahul, allegedly jumped to his death from a high-rise building along with his two-year-old daughter. The incident took place on Tuesday morning at the Joy Ville residential complex in Sector 102 near the Dwarka Expressway.
Rahul, a school operator from Delhi’s Kirari area, had been living in Gurugram with his family in a rented apartment. He reportedly ran a small school with his wife, catering to students up to Class 5. According to police, he had been struggling with ongoing health issues and significant mental stress and was undergoing treatment.
Authorities received a call around 8 am informing them of the fall from a multi-storey building. When police arrived at the scene, both Rahul and his daughter were found dead. Although he resided in Tower 9 of the society, he reportedly jumped from the 23rd floor of Tower 5.
Police officials stated that no suicide note was recovered from the spot. Initial findings suggest that mental distress may have played a role in the incident, though a detailed investigation is still underway to establish the exact circumstances.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination and later handed over to the family. The incident has deeply shocked residents of the society and raised concerns about mental health and well-being in urban living environments.
