An elderly woman was allegedly assaulted by neighbours following a dispute over fencing outside her house in Alwar. The attackers reportedly entered her home, dragged her to the ground and physically assaulted her before throwing her onto the street.
The victim, identified as Narmada, was kicked and slapped repeatedly during the attack. The accused also twisted her arm and dragged her out of the house, leaving her lying on the road. She reportedly lost consciousness during the assault.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed near the location, and the footage has since circulated widely on social media.
Police said the dispute between the woman and her neighbours had been ongoing for nearly a year and was related to the fencing in front of her plot. According to investigators, three to four men allegedly entered the house on Wednesday and began verbally abusing the occupants.
At the time of the incident, Narmada was inside the house along with her grandson, Nishant. When they came outside, the men allegedly started abusing and attacking them. During the assault, the accused reportedly beat the elderly woman, threw her to the ground and dragged her out onto the street.
The woman sustained serious injuries and collapsed during the attack. Hearing the commotion, nearby residents gathered at the spot and raised objections, after which the accused fled the scene.
Family members were later informed about the incident and subsequently contacted the police. Officers arrived at the location and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Authorities said they are analysing the CCTV footage to identify the suspects involved in the assault and determine the full sequence of events.
