In the Rohit Shetty house firing case, Mumbai Police have arrested the 14th accused from Agra

Mumbai Crime Branch, in coordination with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF), has arrested the 14th accused in the firing case at filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence. The accused, Pradeep Sharma alias Golu, was apprehended from Agra following specific intelligence inputs.

The incident dates back to the night of February 1–2, 2026, when gunshots were fired at Shetty’s Mumbai residence, reportedly as part of an extortion-driven operation linked to the Shubham Lonkar gang. Investigators believe the attack was intended to create fear within the film industry and pressure targets for money.

According to police findings, the 23-year-old accused had been evading arrest by frequently changing locations since other members of the group were detained earlier in February. During interrogation, he admitted that he was influenced by the gang’s presence on social media platforms and joined them to build a reputation. He also confessed to involvement in previous firing incidents and had a prior criminal record related to illegal weapons possession.

Police said that Sharma carried out the attack on instructions from an associate, Shivam Dubey, who had informed him about the plan. The arrest is part of a broader effort to dismantle the gang’s network, with authorities indicating that further developments are expected as the investigation continues.

Following his arrest, Sharma was presented before a court in Agra and was handed over to the Mumbai Crime Branch on transit remand for further proceedings.
