Allu Sirish’s wedding celebrations began on a traditional and intimate note with his Pelli Koduku ceremony held at the Allu family residence in Hyderabad on Sunday, ahead of his March 6 wedding to fiancée Nayanika Reddy. Newlyweds Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna attended the event, along with Ram Charan and other close family members.
The ceremony commenced with the traditional mangala snanam ritual, during which Sirish was bathed and anointed with turmeric and sandalwood paste, symbolising purification, blessings and his transition into married life. The ritual was followed by a gathering of close relatives, where women from the extended family offered blessings, gifts and good wishes.
Pelli Koduku is an important pre-wedding custom in Andhra weddings on the groom’s side, marking the formal start of the wedding festivities.
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna made a quiet appearance, greeting family members and participating in the rituals. They later posed for group photographs with Allu Arjun and Sneha Reddy. Images of Vijay embracing Arjun and the couple standing with the extended Allu family attracted significant attention online.
For the ceremony, Allu Sirish chose traditional groom attire, while Allu Arjun wore a brick-red kurta-pyjama paired with glasses, unveiling a refreshed look. Sneha Reddy complemented the festive mood in an orange saree. Vijay’s brother, Anand Deverakonda, was also present.
Another widely appreciated moment was a photograph of producer Allu Aravind sharing a warm hug with Rashmika Mandanna. The gathering also included Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela, reinforcing the close-knit nature of the celebration.
The atmosphere remained serene and rooted in tradition, with rituals taking precedence over grandeur. With the Pelli Koduku ceremony concluded, the wedding festivities are now underway.
