UP CM examines plans for PM Modi's Noida Airport opening on March 28

Yogi Adityanath conducted a detailed on-site inspection of the Noida International Airport ahead of its scheduled inauguration by Narendra Modi on March 28, reviewing preparations to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated launch of the project.

During the visit, the Chief Minister examined the entire route planned for the Prime Minister’s movement and inspected critical infrastructure, including passenger and cargo terminals, helipad facilities, parking zones, access roads, and the designated rally venue. He issued immediate instructions to officials at multiple points, stressing the importance of precision and timely execution given the scale and importance of the event.

The inauguration is expected to mark a major milestone in the development of the Jewar aviation hub, with the Prime Minister set to formally open the airport and its cargo terminal, as well as lay the foundation stone for a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility. This development is seen as a significant step toward improving regional connectivity and boosting economic growth.

Following the inspection, Adityanath chaired a high-level review meeting at the airport auditorium, bringing together senior administrative officials and public representatives. The discussions focused on operational readiness, coordination between departments, security arrangements, and overall event execution. He emphasised that all work must be completed within fixed timelines and meet required standards, considering the expected presence of dignitaries, media personnel, and a large number of attendees.

A detailed security plan was also presented, which includes a four-layer security system to ensure safety during the event. The Chief Minister directed authorities to deploy sufficient police personnel, administrative staff, and volunteers at all key points to maintain order and avoid inconvenience.

Special attention was given to crowd management and logistics, with plans covering traffic control, parking arrangements, and alternative routes. Adityanath stressed the need for smooth connectivity to the venue, ensuring that visitors from different areas can reach without disruption.

He also highlighted the importance of public facilities, instructing officials to ensure the availability of clean drinking water, mobile toilets, uninterrupted power supply, medical services, fire safety arrangements, and proper signage. Help desks are to be set up at key locations, especially in parking areas, to assist visitors.

In addition, the Chief Minister called for extensive branding and publicity to present the inauguration as a world-class event, emphasising the importance of showcasing the project’s scale and significance at both the state and national levels.
