India’s home season will begin in Thiruvananthapuram, where they will face the West Indies cricket team in the first ODI of a three-match series. Overall, India will play nine ODIs, eight T20Is, and five Tests at home. The visiting teams include the Sri Lanka cricket team, Zimbabwe cricket team, and Australia national cricket team.
The highlight of the season will be the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a five-match Test series against Australia starting January 21, 2027, in Nagpur, followed by matches in Chennai, Guwahati, Ranchi, and Ahmedabad.
Before the home season, India will host Afghanistan national cricket team for a one-off Test and a three-match ODI series in June. They will then tour England in July for three ODIs and five T20Is, followed by a two-Test series in Sri Lanka in August. Later in the year, India will travel to New Zealand for a series comprising two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is.
Across these assignments, Kohli and Rohit are expected to feature in as many as 18 ODIs over the next 12 months.
