A dumper driver in Maharashtra deliberately rammed into his employer’s car and dragged it along the road, allegedly out of frustration over unpaid wages, in an incident reported from Dombivli on Tuesday morning.
According to police, the vehicle was unoccupied at the time, and although no injuries were reported, the car sustained extensive damage due to the impact and the force with which it was dragged. The driver, identified as Satyam, is said to have taken the extreme step after a dispute with his employer regarding pending payments.
Eyewitness accounts and video footage circulating on social media show the dumper hitting the car from behind and pushing it forward for a considerable distance before eventually stopping. The loud noise and unusual scene quickly drew the attention of nearby residents, many of whom gathered at the spot and recorded the incident.
Based on a complaint filed by the car owner, the police registered a non-cognisable offence against the driver. Initial findings suggest that the act was driven by anger over unpaid dues, though officials have indicated that further investigation is underway to establish the complete sequence of events and any additional factors involved.
The incident has raised concerns among local residents, who have called for stricter enforcement and preventive measures to avoid such acts of retaliation and ensure public safety in similar situations.
