Donald Trump issued a sharply worded warning to Iran, claiming that the United States is decisively defeating the Iranian regime both militarily and economically amid the ongoing conflict.
In a message posted on Truth Social, Trump asserted that American forces were overwhelming Iran’s capabilities. He wrote that the United States was “totally destroying the terrorist regime of Iran, militarily, economically, and otherwise.”
The US president also issued a direct warning to Tehran, using strong language while suggesting that further action against Iranian forces was imminent.
Trump claimed that Iran’s military infrastructure had suffered severe damage during the confrontation. According to him, Iran’s naval and air capabilities had been largely neutralised and its missiles and drones were being systematically destroyed.
He further emphasised the military strength of the United States, stating that the country possesses unmatched firepower and sufficient resources to continue operations for as long as necessary. Trump said the US has “unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time” to sustain the campaign.
In his remarks, Trump also accused Iran of being responsible for decades of global violence, alleging that the country had been involved in attacks on innocent people worldwide for more than four decades.
The US president additionally criticised the The New York Times, accusing the publication of misrepresenting the situation and failing to acknowledge what he described as American success in the conflict.
Trump’s comments represent another escalation in rhetoric as tensions between the United States and Iran continue to intensify.
